Dr. Kanady has performed over 3,000 prostate seed implants (brachytherapy). Moreover, he is certified for SpaceOAR™ hydrogel application. SpaceOAR™ not only improves sexual function but also reduces rectal toxicity from prostate radiation. Furthermore, Dr. Kanady is highly regarded for his expertise in several radiation therapy modalities, such as image guidance radiotherapy (IGRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and stereotactic radiosurgery, including stereotactic ablative radiation (SABR) for prostate cancer. He is a 1992-graduate of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He then went on to Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, CA, to complete his internship (1992-1993), followed by his clinical fellowship in radiation oncology at Harvard Medical School (1993-1996) and his radiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital.
