Get to know Radiation Oncologist Dr. Kirk Kanady, who serves patients in Texas.

Board-certified in therapeutic radiation oncology, Dr. Kanady has extensive experience with the latest techniques for treating cancer, with a particular emphasis on prostate cancer. He is the Founder & Medical Director of Greater Houston Radiation Oncology. Back in 1992, Dr. Kanady graduated with his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard University, where he also served as a clinical fellow in radiation oncology. With more than two decades of experience, Dr. Kanady is a highly experienced practitioner who has performed over three thousand prostate seed implants (brachytherapy). He is certified for SpaceOAR™ hydrogel application, which improves sexual function and reduces rectal toxicity from prostate radiation. He is also an expert in other modalities of radiation therapy, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy, image guidance radiotherapy, and stereotactic radiosurgery including stereotactic ablative radiation for prostate cancer.
